If you want to get as close as you can to the fair without staying on the actual grounds, then this is going to be the place for you.

The hotel is built inside of the old Bandana Square Train Repair Shop, so it has a unique historic feel to it. We’ve stayed at this hotel many times during our fair trips and it really is so unique.

After a long day of wandering around at the state fair, it’s nice to come back and enjoy the on-site restaurant and bar where you can grab a drink and food.

I also really love that you can rent bikes from the hotel for a very cheap price because it makes it easy to get out and explore the city!

One bummer is that most of the park and ride locations are 10+ minutes away, but since the drive is actually only about 15 minutes, it doesn’t matter too much!
