The Twin Cities are the major hub of all things in the state of Minnesota. I’ve traveled to the Twin Cities hundreds of times, whether it be for a flight from MSP Airport, to attend an event or festival, or just on a day trip to escape my hometown. I also lived just 30 minutes from Minneapolis for a while, and traveled there often.
I’ve explored all over Minneapolis and St. Paul and have eaten at tons of restaurants, attended the MN State Fair every year, wandered around Downtown Minneapolis for my first concert at First Avenue, and stayed at all sorts of fancy and not-so-fancy hotels.
I love how much the big city has to offer and think that it’s a great starting point for anyone traveling to Minnesota. Here are some of my local knowledge and recommendations for the area.
