Because Silver Bay is a smaller town, not all of these lodging options are right in town, but all of them are within a 20-mile drive!

1. Cove Point Lodge

When you’re booking a stay on the North Shore, the number one thing to look for is a view of Lake Superior, right from your hotel.

At Cove Point Lodge, that’s exactly what you’re going to get because every room in the lodge overlooks the incredible lake.

The rooms are so cozy, and you can choose between basic options and more luxury versions that have fireplaces and jacuzzis (talk about an epic room!).

If you’d prefer something a little more than a hotel room, you can also book a stay at one of the cottages, which have 2-3 bedrooms and a full kitchen setup.

Either way, you’ll have the same great experience staying here and will get to enjoy the same amenities including snowshoe and bike rentals for guests!

One of my favorite parts of Cove Point Lodge is the beach fire pit where you can roast marshmallows and enjoy s’mores. ๐Ÿคค (If that isn’t enough to convince you, I don’t know what is!)

2. Highbrow Cabin on a Cliff

The Highbrow Cabin is a log cabin on Lake Superior.
Even in the winter, this cabin is a great place for lodging near Silver Bay, MN.

This log cabin in the woods will really give you that strong ‘Up North’ feeling that you so crave when you’re on the North Shore.

With over 200 feet of private shoreline along Lake Superior, you’ll be blown away by the beauty that is found on this property.

There are 3 bedrooms, one being a loft that has epic views out to the lake that you’ll see right when you wake up in the morning.

Spend time relaxing next to the wood-burning stove or head into the recreation room to play your family in a game of foosball.

Head outside and enjoy the porch that overlooks the lake, complete with picnic tables and a grill.

Or, head out onto the lawn and relax in the wooden chairs next to a burning fire, all while listening to the sounds of waves crashing into the shore.

3. Private Cabin on Lake Superior Bluffs

A porch overlooking the lake is a main feautre of this private cabin.
Large windows in the lodging space offer great views of the Silver Bay area.

Panoramic lake views, minutes from hiking trails, and the North Shore. What more could you really ask for in a home?

You’re in luck because this private cabin has all of that and more, making it one of the most perfect places for lodging in Silver Bay, MN.

This 2-bedroom home (that can sleep up to 10!) sits on 12 acres of land and is just 3 miles from Tettegouche State Park.

My favorite part of this cabin is the loft where you can relax and enjoy a good book with a view of Lake Superior in the background. Heck, open the windows and listen to those waves.

Plus, there’s a huge deck off of the house with a grill, which is perfect for a barbeque with family or friends.

End your day (or start it- no one’s telling you what to do!) at the firepit which has views of the lake in both directions.

This home is even perfect in the winter months because of its proximity to snowmobile and cross-country ski trails.

It’s also the most budget-friendly option on this list, making it perfect for a cheap visit to the shore!

The home is cozy inside with touches that make it feel a bit more ‘northern,’ including a fireplace in the living room.

If you have a larger group visiting, you can book multiple rooms (each with two bedrooms) on this property together and have all 4 of the individual suites to yourself!

On top of everything that the outside of this property has to offer, the inside of this 3-bedroom house is just as great and will have you feeling right at home.

The home is newly renovated and beautifully decorated. My favorite part is the HUGE windows that line the wall facing Lake Superior. Talk about a view!
